The School Relay
The whole school, one baton, one mile. The littlest legs go first with 10 to 20 metres each. Whatever you do, do not drop it.
Every pupil who wants to run. Free.
One summer evening. Pupils, parents, grandparents and teachers, all on the same start line. Some will sprint. Some will stroll. Everybody gets cheered home.

These teachers and staff have signed up and think they can stay ahead of you. Teacher, teaching assistant, office, kitchen, caretaker: pick one when you enter and chase them down.
Preview: the names below are made-up examples, not real staff.
Collect your number and timing chip at registration on the night, from 16:30. Nothing to remember from home. Every runner gets a number, relay runners too.
Hungry or thirsty? We are working with the school PTFA, who we hope will be serving refreshments throughout the afternoon and evening.
[PARKING AND WALKING ROUTE]
The School Run is a fundraiser for our school, run hand in hand with the school PTFA. Enter a race, bring the family, cheer loudly, and you are helping.
[WHAT THE MONEY WILL PAY FOR: to agree with the school]
Every child has a named adult on the night, with a mobile number we can ring.
You choose yes or no for each child when you enter.
Seen only by the school's safeguarding lead and first aid.
The school can give you a code. Nobody else sees who used one.
Use the link and code from school. It takes about three minutes for a whole family, and every entry helps raise funds for the school.
